I assume you are referring to Lauren’s act of “passing” as male here. I like that focus but am a big concerned that the scale is too small, since this theme is not discussed very widely in the text. By all means, see what’s out there, but I would be prepared to zoom out a bit, looking at representations of gender performance more broadly in the text: how Harry worries over his masculinity, for example, or how Lauren chafes against the expectations of the community her father leads re: women’s roles. I think you’ll naturally refine the question a bit as your start to dig for cites and read them.
