The Novel and the Anthropocene
A comparison of Earthseed (note spelling) and Christianity seems very much in tune with the themes of the novel. It would be interesting to look at interviews and other biographical materials to see what OBs relationship to traditional Christianity was and whether there was a conscious attempt to critique it. You might need to specify the question a bit: where are you going to look (within the novel) for examples of both? What’s your hunch about what Earthseed preserves, and where it diverges? What about the title of the novel (and the sequel)?
